Ellie's birthday was April 30th but we had such a busy week that we celebrated yesterday! Yeah! As soon as I saw the pudgy, piggy cake online I knew that that was the cake I had to make for her because it reminded me of her (baby) pudginess. It is hard to believe that when we moved to Moses Lake she was only a couple of weeks old. We took her to Wal-Mart and let her pick out her gifts which consisted of: an African, American doll, a fairy Barbie and a microphone that plays songs! Her favorite would have to be the doll. My older kids have also picked a favorite out of Ellies gifts as well. It is the microphone. It doesn't just play show tunes but, you can record yourself when you talk or sing into it. I have to hide it from them just so Ellie can have a turn with it. Ha Ha!
Ellie is also speaking quite well now days. She just started saying, "I ya you," which means, I love you and is following her older siblings example when trying to get my attention by calling me, "Minny." It is amazing to see how much the younger kids pick up from the older ones.
